Question 1

What actually happens in the ₹199 demo?

Accepted Answer

A professional trainer comes to your home in Jaipur for 40 minutes. They spend the first stretch watching your dog behave normally in its own space, then train one real behaviour end to end — and then hand the leash to you and correct your timing rather than your dog's. You finish with a trainability assessment, the IncrediPets app set up with your dog's diet chart, the Puppy Parenting eGuide, and a clear recommendation on how many sessions your dog needs. ₹199 is the entire cost; nothing further is collected at your door.

Question 2

Do I have to buy a programme afterwards?

Accepted Answer

If the demo goes well and you like how your dog responds, you can take the full programme there and then — and the exclusive discount is applied on the day, which is the one thing that does not wait. If you would rather sit with it, that is genuinely fine. Nothing is signed at your door, and the assessment, the app setup and the eGuide stay with you either way.

Question 3

Why train at home instead of at a training centre?

Accepted Answer

Because behaviour is attached to place. A dog that barks at your gate, guards your sofa or panics at your lift does none of that in a strange field, so a centre ends up training a version of your dog you never actually live with. Training at home also removes the transfer problem, where a dog performs beautifully for the trainer on the training ground and ignores the family at home.

Question 4

What is the free eGuide?

Accepted Answer

The Puppy Parenting eGuide — India's first complete one. 11 chapters, the 90-day plan and 25+ tools and trackers, covering everything from the first night home to socialisation, potty routine and bite inhibition. It sells for ₹499. It downloads the moment your ₹199 payment goes through, so you have it in hand before the trainer arrives. It stays in the app afterwards too.

Question 5

What do the programmes cost?

Accepted Answer

Programmes start at ₹8,900 for 12 sessions across a month and run up to 144 sessions over 12 months. Prices shown on this page are full price. The exclusive discount for your dog's breed and programme length is claimed at the demo itself. Book later and the programme is full price.

Question 6

Are there dogs you will not take?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it is worth saying plainly. We do not take on active aggression cases in large powerful breeds — Pitbulls, Rottweilers, German Shepherds and Huskies among them — where there is a bite history. With a 30 kg-plus dog, one failed repetition can put a family member or a neighbour in hospital, and that is not a risk a single trainer in a flat should be underwriting. Sudden aggression is also frequently medical before it is behavioural: pain, thyroid problems and neurological issues all present this way and need a veterinary behaviourist to rule out. We refer those cases on. We do work with early-stage reactivity, resource guarding and puppy biting in exactly the same breeds, where there is no bite history.

Question 7

What is scientific dog training?

Accepted Answer

Positive-reinforcement methods grounded in animal-behaviour research. Three mechanisms do most of the work: a marker delivered within half a second of the behaviour, desensitisation worked below your dog's reaction threshold, and reinforcement thinned to a variable schedule so the behaviour survives without treats. No punishment, no fear, no aversive equipment — no choke chains, prong collars or e-collars at any stage.

Question 8

Will my dog only listen when I am holding a treat?

Accepted Answer

This is the most common worry about reward-based training, and it comes from stopping halfway. Food is used heavily at the start because it buys clean, fast repetitions — but it is meant to be faded. The fading is deliberate: rewards move from every repetition to an unpredictable one, which is the same variable schedule that makes any habit stubborn. A dog trained this way works for the possibility of a reward, not the sight of one. A dog that only responds with food in your hand has been bribed, not trained.

Question 9

Do you train my dog, or do you teach me?

Accepted Answer

Both, and the second one matters more. Your dog spends 40 minutes a session with a trainer and the rest of the week with you, so a skill only the trainer can produce is not a skill. That is why the trainer hands you the leash inside the first session and corrects your timing rather than performing for you.

Question 10

Do I need to be present for every session?

Accepted Answer

For the early sessions, yes — that is where the handling is taught. Later on, once the mechanics are yours, whoever spends the most time with the dog should be the one on the leash, even if that is not the person who booked. Sessions are rescheduled through the app if you travel, so a work trip does not cost you a session.

Question 11

How does the programme change by breed?

Accepted Answer

Your dog goes on one of three tracks after the assessment. Guard breeds — German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Dobermans — run an obedience track built on impulse control, threshold work at gates and doors, and structured alerting where the dog may bark then stop on cue. We do not teach bite work or protection commands. Explorer breeds like Huskies, Beagles and Labradors are scent- and stamina-driven, so their exercise requirement is met before obedience is asked for; enrichment and recall come first. Companion and apartment breeds — Shih Tzus, Pugs, Lhasas, Dachshunds — work on routine over correction, doorbell barking, handling tolerance and settling. Flat-faced breeds get shorter, cooler sessions, because Jaipur's heat and a compressed airway are a real physical limit.

Question 12

At what age should training start?

Accepted Answer

From 8 weeks, whatever the breed. The primary socialisation window closes around 16 weeks, and what a puppy calmly meets before then shapes how it reacts for life. For large breeds it matters more, because they gain 3–4 kg a month in the first year. A habit that is manageable at 10 kg is a physical problem at 30 kg.

Question 13

My dog is an adult and has done this for years. Is it too late?

Accepted Answer

No. Adult dogs frequently learn faster than puppies because their attention span is longer — the difference is that an established habit has to be overwritten rather than written, which takes more repetitions. Senior dogs learn too. They need shorter sessions for joint comfort, and it is worth a vet check first, because hearing loss and pain are often mistaken for stubbornness.

Question 14

How long before I see results?

Accepted Answer

Basic behaviours like sit, name response and settle usually appear within 2–3 weeks of consistent daily practice. That part is quick and it is not the hard part. Behaviour that holds in real situations takes 2–3 months, because it has to be proofed across contexts — the gate, the terrace, the street, with a bike going past. Anyone promising a fixed dog in a week is selling you the first stage and skipping the second.

Question 15

Is punishment ever faster?

Accepted Answer

It can look faster, which is exactly the trap. Punishment suppresses the behaviour you can see without changing the emotion driving it — a dog that stops growling because growling was punished may still bite, only now with no warning first. Reinforcement changes the underlying association, which is slower to start and far more durable, and it does not put a warning system out of action.

Question 16

How do I stop my puppy biting?

Accepted Answer

Puppy biting is teething and exploration, not aggression. It peaks between 8 and 16 weeks and fades by 6–7 months with the right handling. The method is bite-inhibition work: redirect onto an appropriate chew, and the moment teeth touch skin the game stops, so the puppy learns that biting ends the fun. Punishment adds arousal and usually makes mouthing worse.

Question 17

How do I potty train and crate train a puppy in a flat?

Accepted Answer

Both run on routine, not correction. Take your puppy out after waking, after eating and after play, plus every 2–3 hours at first, and reward within seconds of it finishing outdoors. Never punish an accident you find later — the dog cannot connect it to the act. The crate has to become a bedroom and never a punishment: door open first, meals eaten inside, duration built up in short sessions.

Question 18

What equipment will I have to buy?

Accepted Answer

Very little, and nothing aversive. A flat collar or a Y-shaped harness, a fixed-length lead, and treats your dog actually rates. That is the working kit. We do not use or sell choke chains, prong collars or e-collars, and you will not be asked to buy one at any stage.

Question 19

How many sessions will my dog need?

Accepted Answer

Most pet parents start somewhere between 12 and 36 sessions. Puppies with no established problems often sit in the 12–24 range; an adult dog with reactivity or a long-standing habit usually needs 36 or more. The assessment at your demo gives you a number for your dog specifically, along with the reasoning behind it.
